Angel Dog – Rescuing Strays in Krabi, Thailand

Angel Dog is a life-saving initiative in partnership with Step Up Aid, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. Every day, dozens of dogs in this region suffer from hunger, disease, injury, and neglect. Many are left to fend for themselves on the streets, exposed to extreme weather, traffic, and abuse.

Through our partnership, Step Up Aid provides vital support to the project and helps connect donors and communities internationally with the urgent needs of the shelter. Even our own volunteers have visited the site in Krabi, witnessing first-hand the incredible work being done and the difficult conditions in which the team operates.

The mission of Angel Dog is to give these animals a second chance. The project provides safe shelter, medical care, nutritious food, vaccinations, sterilisation, and—most importantly—love. The team works tirelessly to heal physical wounds and rebuild trust so that each dog can find a forever home.

The shelter now faces a critical challenge: the rented site must relocate. With your support, we aim to secure a permanent, purpose-built sanctuary where dogs can live safely, recover fully, and prepare for adoption.

How You Can Help

You can donate toward food, medicine, veterinary costs, kennels, or even help us purchase land for a permanent shelter. Every contribution goes through Step Up Aid and directly funds the Angel Dog Project on the ground.

Together, we can turn suffering into safety — and give forgotten dogs the future they deserve.

End of Project report

Unfortunately, our project come to the end.

We would like to share the general call statistic. The numbers speak out for themself.  We are glad that we started this project in such difficult times and helped as many as we could.

During this project, we become known to multiple organisations. We receive multiple referrals from such Organisations as Hestia and Police Independent Domestic Violence Advisors.

We had developed strong relationships with Solicitor Firms that employ Russian, Lithuanian, Romanian speaking solicitors, and will continue to signpost our community members.

We decided to retain the number, however,  line operational times would be reduced significantly. We encourage every caller to leave a message or email us.

Mid-Way Report

Our project now is considered to be at its midpoint.  We would like to share the general call statistic. The numbers speak out for themself.  We are glad that we started this project in such difficult times.  Numbers reveal an unfortunate situation inside our community.  It is sad that this project is created for such a short period of time. However, in the upcoming 3 months, we still are here to hellp our community!

Our Call centre operators obtained additional training!

All our lines are closed today for training purpose. Tomorrow we would start welfare calls to all know to us, community members. Anyone who wishes to propose contact to us can email us his name, contact number and name of a vulnerable person.

We got confirmation from Legal Aid Agency

We got confirmation from Legal Aid Agency that Step Up Aid could supply evidence letter to support victims for Legal Aid application.
