Midsummer Festival 2014 better known as “Ivan Kupala” is a folk open air festival that take place in Waltham Forest, London. “Ivan Kupala” is one of the main holidays in Slavic and Baltic people’s culture that celebrates summer solstice. Rich programme of events of this international festival shows the kinship of cultures and tradition of Baltic and Slavic people.
Midsummer Festival is the biggest and most vibrant festival in the Eastern European Community, attracting residents and visitors from across all over London.
Last year Midsummer Festival entertained an estimated 12 performances from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, UK and more than 30 volunteers providing a fun day out for people. During the day, festival visited 3000 adult people and same amount of the children.
